The Dunglishman – ‘Dunglish’ sinds 2009

The Dunglishman (een samenvoeging van Dutch en English) geeft gepeperde meningen met een vleugje satire over het Verenigd Koninkrijk en haar inwoners, politieke leven, cultuur en gewoontes.

Met informatieve stukken over het land dat zich in Brexit stortte en waar de inwoners al decennia lang verwikkeld zijn in een discussie of Marmite nou lekker is of niet, geeft The Dunglishman een inkijkje in het VK van nu, zodat u er als buitenstaander nog een beetje chocola van kunt maken.

The Dunglishman wordt geschreven door Alexander Dommerholt. Hij woont sinds 2009 in het Verenigd Koninkrijk en heeft, ondanks dat hij zich in het Britse leven gestort heeft, zijn observatievermogen als ‘buitenstaander’ niet verloren.

Met zijn scherpe blik en vlotte pen geeft hij graag zijn ongevraagde mening over wat hij als ‘nuchtere Hollandse jongen’ in het VK ondervindt.

The Dunglishman (a combination of ‘Dutch’ and ‘English’) looks at the United Kingdom and its inhabitants, its political life and its culture, and shares its frank observations with an hint of satire.

With informative posts about the country which went down the rabbit hole named ‘Brexit’, of which its inhabitants have been involved in argument about whether Marmite is tasty or not, The Dunglishman offers the outsider an opportunity to understand a country that has been misunderstood for years.

The Dunglishman is written by Alexander Dommerholt, a Dutchman who has called the UK his home since 2009. Despite his assimilation to the British way of life, he still regards himself as an ‘outsider looking in’.

With his critical views and entertaining style of writing, he loves to share his unsolicited opinions with the public about his experiences in the UK as a ‘down to earth’ Dutchman.
